Amazon Longest River Beats Nile

The Amazon seems to be the longest river in the world. Scientists discovered a new source of the Amazon in the south of Peru in an ice covered mountain called Mismi. This makes it the longest river in the world at around 6,800 kilometers (Nile is 6,695km). It already was world’s largest river by volume. This claim may not go unchallenged. There has been a debate over the world’s longest river for some years.
