Octosquid Captured in Hawaii

This “Octosquid” was sucked up from the ocean floor at 914 meters (3,000 foot) depth by a deep sea pipeline in Hawaii. It has the body of a squid but eight tentacles like an octopus, not bigger as 30 centimeter (one foot). It belongs to an already identified rare species but still does not have a name. Unfortunately the animal died two days later.
