Shark Attack Victim Survives

Eric Nerhus, a 41 year old professional diver was attacked and half swallowed by a shark at Cape Howe, near Eden. He fought off a three-metre shark by poking its eye with his free right arm. His head, most of his torso and his left arm were inside the shark. He’s now in stable conditon at Wollongong Hospital.
Great White Sharks are common to the waters around eden. They are now searching for a six-to-seven metre shark spotted off Victoria’s Phillip Island: Shark Hunt.
