Sparkline?

I just wanted a nice way to display my hours of sleep. I like graphics and statistics and found the Sparkline PHP Graphing Library by James Byers. You could say that I am nuts to use it for my sleep registration but I loved it from the start.
Sparkline requires PHP 4.0.6 or newer and GD 2.0. You get some nice sample scripts. You can learn from those and make your own. They also have a FAQ and Wiki.
Anyhow, after playing with it, I wanted some more and saw some other things too. There have been made some nice plugins for Wordpress:
- Frenchfragfactory; they have a script that will create an RSS feed with your daily Adsense earnings. Initial release 10/05/2005, 1.0 initial release; now version 1.1, 04/24/2006. This one is really cool.
- Infosthetics; they have a sparkline diagram of their daily Google Adsense earnings. It parses the data into a sparkline. You have to ask Google Adsense permission for its use. It works like a charm.
- Graeme; they have a Sparkline Wordpress plugin, version 0.2 to display Wordpress Stats. I didn’t try that one.
- Sparkstats; they have a Sparkline Wordpress plugin that represent the posting and commenting activity on your blog over a period of days.
Adsense Terms of Use regarding disclosure of your earnings vary from time to time. As of today, you cannot publicly reveal your daily income. Always ask permission first. If you like playing with it, I would suggest to visit Sparkline.org first. There are enough things to display with Sparkline, not only AdSense.
